  1. Type a name for your PC and select desktop background as in the image below or else by default, PC name that is based on your user name is taken. This is probably not a great name for your PC, you can change it later.

    Configure computer related options.

  2. Select the Automatic Updates, as in the image below. One may go for the recommended settings, in which Windows automatically downloads and installs all updates, can install only important updates, or one can select specific for prompting later.

  3. Configure the time zone, date, and time as shown in image below.

    Curious that the time zone defaults to Pacific Time.

    Setup announces when Interactive Setup is complete and one is ready to start as in the image below.

    You are ready to start.

    The Windows Vista desktop appears but before it a final bow by testing your system's performance characteristics. Screen as in the image below appears at that time; the process takes about 30 seconds to 2 minutes, as per the speed of the PC.

    During the performance test, Microsoft displays a small Vista advertisements.
