If you are not that much crazy about the translucent glass effects provided by Windows Vista Aero but would still like to use it for its other features and reliability, Microsoft provided handy configuration utility to Aero that enables one to fine-tune how it appearance and looks.

This functionality is available you just have to check the Personalization section of the Control Panel and if you want to get it done very quickly, just right-click a blank area of the desktop, then from Properties, select Windows Color and Appearance from the Personalize appearance and sound effects control panel. The Window is shown in the below image describes how to change various aspects of Vista Aero's visual style, like change the color scheme or transparency of Aero windows with this utility.

You just click and pick at randomly between preset color choices by selecting and one of the color scheme swatches, displayed at the window top, as well as there is option available for disabling the transparent glass or adjust and vary its intensity of the translucency as per your choice. Also one can use show color mixer option and apply various levels of color, saturation, and brightness as per the choice of user.
